Jim serves as National Underwriting Officer (NUO) for Asset Management within the Financial Institutions business unit of Travelers Bond and Specialty. In this role, he leads a home office team responsible for the financial performance of the asset management portfolio and the development of underwriting strategy and products across all asset management sub-segments, including investment advisers, mutual funds, private equity/venture capital, hedge funds, and real estate. He also coordinates Travelers' private equity and portfolio company specialty offerings program and develops educational content and training for US and UK field underwriters and distribution partners.

He began his career at Marsh & McLennan in New York City as a placement broker for management and professional liability coverages on the FINPRO team, before joining Chubb's Financial Institutions department in 2005. Over 11+ years at Chubb, he held a range of technical and leadership roles, including Asset Management Senior Underwriting Officer, AVP/Private Equity Specialist, and VP of the Mid-Atlantic Region. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond (2001) and the RPLU designation.

Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife and three children, reading, hiking and coaching youth sports.   

Kathryn is the Deputy Head of Management Liability, National Accounts at AIG.  In this role, she is responsible for the strategic direction of AIG’s National Accounts public company portfolio across North America.  Prior to that, she served as Regional Underwriting Manager of AIG’s Philadelphia Public Team.  She is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
